Position: Application Specialist
Job Summary:
The Application Specialist will use their healthcare business and InterSystems product knowledge to ensure that we contract and implement InterSystems products in a successful, standardized, and timely manner. They will become an expert nursing resource for customers, advising on the best solutions for implementation, minimizing customer-specific work, and liaising with various areas of the business. The role requires regular visits to customer sites and the potential for travel, with up to 5 days per week spent away from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Healthcare Product Implementation:
Ensure the successful implementation of InterSystems products by assessing the customer process, advising on the best solution, and managing the implementation process. - Customer Support and Training:
Become a nursing resource for customers, delivering training workshops, presentations, and strong messaging on product benefits. - Consultative Services:
Advise customers on driving maximum benefits from solutions while minimizing customer-specific modifications. - Product Knowledge Management:
Stay up-to-date with new product developments and product release cycles. - Customer Site Visits and Project Travel:
Be available to visit customer sites and manage projects requiring regular travel, potentially spending up to 5 days per week away from home.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Excellent communication skills and experience conducting customer training workshops or presentations.
- Strong consultative skills with the ability to articulate and communicate ideas effectively.
- At least 3 years of experience working in healthcare and a good understanding of clinical processes.
- Experience with EMR systems and understanding of Hospital Information, Patient Administration Systems (PAS), and Clinical Information Systems.
- Experience working in a nursing role within a hospital environment.
- Experience contributing to a multidisciplinary team and writing functional documents.
- Familiarity with business process mapping and information systems.
Desirable:
- Experience communicating with key stakeholders at various levels within healthcare organizations (government/public/private sector).
- Experience implementing software solutions.
- Exposure to IT services in a customer-facing role.
- Previous experience as an Application or Configuration Specialist.
- Knowledge of change management processes.
- Strong computer skills and experience conducting software testing.
Education and Training:
- University Degree:
A degree in Nursing, with clinical specialties in ICU, oncology, or maternity being advantageous. - Clinical Specialty:
Experience in clinical settings such as ICU, oncology, or maternity. - Proficiency in English:
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
