Position: Clinical Instructor
Job Summary:
The Clinical Instructor will be responsible for supervising and mentoring nursing students during their clinical placements in healthcare settings. This role involves guiding students through hands-on patient care experiences, assessing their clinical performance, and ensuring they are well-prepared for a successful nursing career. The Clinical Instructor will collaborate with nursing faculty to ensure the highest standards of nursing education are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Supervision:
Supervise nursing students during clinical rotations in hospitals, clinics, or other healthcare facilities. - Mentoring and Support:
Provide ongoing support, guidance, and constructive feedback to students, helping them develop both clinical and professional competencies. - Assessment and Evaluation:
Monitor and evaluate students’ clinical performance, providing feedback on their progress and suggesting areas for improvement. - Collaboration:
Work closely with faculty to integrate clinical experiences with course content, ensuring a cohesive learning experience for students. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of student performance, including evaluations, attendance, and clinical competencies. - Professional Development:
Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, nursing education trends, and healthcare advancements through continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. - Experience:
At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience in medical-surgical or critical care settings.
Previous teaching or clinical supervision experience is preferred. - Skills:
Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to provide constructive feedback in a clinical learning environment. - Commitment:
Passion for teaching, patient care, and helping students succeed in their clinical education.
