Position: Neonatal Nurse
Key Responsibilities:
- Critical Monitoring: Provide round-the-clock monitoring of critically ill neonates, ensuring timely interventions for any changes in their condition.
- Administer Medications: Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed, strictly following protocols to avoid complications.
- Collaborative Care: Work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each infant.
- Family Education & Support: Educate and support families, helping them understand their infant’s condition and care procedures while fostering a trusting relationship.
- Utilize Technology: Use advanced technology and equipment, including ventilators and incubators, to support the respiratory and thermal needs of neonates.
- Assessments & Early Detection: Conduct thorough assessments to identify early signs of complications, using critical thinking to prioritize nursing actions.
- Documentation: Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training to stay current on best practices in neonatal care.
- Infection Control: Assist in implementing infection control measures to protect vulnerable infants from hospital-acquired infections.
- Family Emotional Support: Provide emotional support to families during critical times, promoting family involvement in care and facilitating a healing environment.
