Position: Nurse (Homecare)
Job Summary:
The Nurse (Homecare) is responsible for providing direct patient care, ensuring adherence to clinical processes, policies, and standards as outlined by CARF and the organization. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage patient care, ensure safety, and advocate for patient welfare through evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Patient Care:
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process within the framework of hospital policies, unit-specific standards, and protocols.
- Establish priorities for care, nursing actions, and desired outcomes in clinical care for all patients.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with the entire multidisciplinary team (nursing, rehabilitation, etc.) to ensure comprehensive care.
- Ensure continuity of patient care through effective communication with team members and family members.
- Homecare Practice:
- Work within the homecare policy to deliver care aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
- Provide appropriate care based on clinical knowledge, assessment skills, and best practice frameworks.
- Infection Control and Prevention:
- Demonstrate and apply high-level infection prevention knowledge within the homecare setting.
- Report any infection-related issues following organizational policies and infection control frameworks.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and relevant patient information in line with organizational policies and international documentation standards.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Department of Health (DOH) and UAE Nursing Norms.
- Professional Development:
- Assume responsibility for completing clinical competencies and maintaining professional license requirements.
- Attend educational training, presentations, and seminars as required by nursing administration.
- Leadership and Emergency Response:
- Demonstrate leadership in urgent and emergency situations, making decisions that ensure patient safety and care.
- Manage critical decision-making and take action as needed during emergencies.
- Other Duties:
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
- Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Licensing:
- Valid nursing license from the country of origin and/or current employment location.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in homecare or a similar healthcare setting.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of infection control and prevention.
- Leadership and decision-making abilities during critical situations.
