Job Summary:
The Construction Site Nurse will be responsible for providing immediate first aid and medical assistance on the construction site. The role includes assessing injuries, managing health stations, conducting periodic health assessments for employees, and ensuring the well-being of all workers while maintaining accurate health records and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- First Aid & Emergency Response:
Provide immediate first aid and medical assistance during accidents or injuries that occur on the construction site, ensuring prompt and appropriate care. - Injury Assessment & Coordination:
Assess the severity of injuries on-site, and when necessary, coordinate with emergency medical services to facilitate timely medical attention and transport. - Health Assessments:
Perform periodic health assessments for existing employees to monitor their health and identify any potential issues or concerns that could affect their performance or safety. - First Aid Station Management:
Establish and manage on-site first aid stations equipped with the necessary medical supplies and ensure their proper functioning at all times. - Stock & Maintenance of First Aid Supplies:
Ensure that first aid stations are well-stocked, regularly maintained, and easily accessible for all employees on the site. - Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of health assessments, first aid interventions, and any medical incidents that occur on-site for compliance and review. - Health Data Analysis:
Compile and analyze health data to identify trends, potential health risks, and areas for improvement in site health management, and share findings with management for corrective action. - Health & Safety Protocols:
Ensure adherence to site-specific health and safety protocols, including infection control, injury prevention, and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines. - Health Education & Training:
Educate and train employees on basic first aid, health risks, injury prevention, and emergency procedures to promote workplace health and safety.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent). - Licensing:
Valid nursing license as per the relevant local regulations. - Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a construction or industrial environment. - Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, as required. - Skills:
Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills. Ability to manage health records, maintain first aid equipment, and perform health assessments. Strong communication skills to educate and collaborate with workers and management.
